Once upon a time, in the peaceful town of Vrbovec, beneath the branches of ancient willows, lived an unusual grey rabbit named Salix.
He was different from other rabbits – he didn’t enjoy running in circles or hiding in bushes. Instead, Salix loved to jump – and not just any jump, but high, higher than anyone before him. He dreamed that one day, he would leap so high he could touch the stars.
Each night, while the town slept, Salix would go out to the meadow and practice his jumps under the starlit sky.
The stars whispered stories to him – tales of great athletes, of people who pushed boundaries, of dreamers who reached for the impossible.
These stories gave him strength and faith that he too could become a symbol of something great.
For years, Salix jumped – higher, stronger, more beautifully than ever. His persistence and love for jumping became an inspiration to all of Vrbovec.
And so was born Salix Sub Astra – Vrbovec Under the Stars, a meeting of the world’s best jumpers, held where dreams rise high.
Today, Salix is more than a rabbit – he is the guardian of the meeting, a symbol of courage, perseverance, and imagination.
